Several special Pikachu-themed items of merchandise were made available in commemoration of the opening of Pokemon Center Hiroshima on June 26, 2015, among which was the Pretend Magikarp & Pretend Gyarados Pikachu Special Box.
Similarly to items released for the rebrand of Pokemon Center Mega Tokyo, the Pikachu depicted wear ponchos resembling Pokemon Center Hiroshima's mascot Gyarados as well as its prior evolution Magikarp on a number of items packaged in the box.
These include two exclusive Full Art promotional cards, a set of 62 card sleeves, a deck case, and a long card box for storage.
The special box also comes packaged with five Bandit Ring booster packs.
